A women’s worship-sharing will be held on Sunday (First Day), January 3 from 11 to 12 in the Short Stable. This small-group worship-sharing format is an experimental way to nurture women’s spiritual exploration at Abington Meeting. Worship-sharing can be an effective tool for creating a more informal and smaller environment for sharing spiritual insight and reflection. The Quaker tool of worship-sharing often helps to “prime the pump” for ministry in the regular meeting for worship.
This gathering is envisioned as providing a way to allow women’s voices to be heard in a slightly different environment and to explore the sharing of ministry – “even if it looks different.” (A quote from a Quakerspeak podcast on Quakers and Women in Ministry. Check it out at this link:
